Rugby Realty Acquires Koppers Tower

Aaron Stauber has added to his collection of Grant Street masterpieces. Rugby Realty, Mr. Stauber's company, completed its purchase of the 34-story Koppers Tower late Monday, paying $17.2 million for one of Downtown's most distinctive properties.

From its construction in 1932 to the late 1970s, the Gulf Tower Building in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, was more than just an iconic part of the city skyline — it also served as a rudimentary weather forecast system for pedestrians on the city streets below. Red and blue neon tube arrays mounted on the step-pyramid peak of the 44-story edifice provided the city with a simple, color-coded forecast system: red light signified fair weather ahead, while blue light meant rain or snow. If the light was steady, the temperature was predicted to rise; if flashing, to fall.

EnTrust Realty Advisors Announces the Sale of Nine-Building Atlanta Office Portfolio

EnTrust Realty Advisors, LLC, has completed the sale of a 404,000 SF, office portfolio to an affiliate of RexxHall Realty LLC, a New York-based private investment group. The portfolio comprises nine buildings across two major business parks developed by The Alter Group: five single story buildings encompassing 250,000 square feet at the 106-acre Chattahoochee Corners in Duluth, GA; and four buildings containing 154,000 square feet at the 45-acre Brookside Concourse in Alpharetta, GA. James I. Clark III, EnTrust’s Managing Principal, announced the transaction.
